3D Cone Beam CT Scan Technology
Before beginning any implant treatment on our patients we always start with taking a 3D Scan known as a “Cone Beam”. The scan provides us with a 3D computer model of the jaws which allows us to take measurements on the bone, and identify important structures like nerves, blood vessels, and sinuses. Dr. Engle then selects the appropriate size implant and performs the implant surgery virtually before the actual procedure. Using this technology allows us to provide implant procedures that are safer and more predictable.
